He embarked on a path of entrepreneurial creativity and film direction, navigating various ventures that reflect his passion for branding, creativity, storytelling, and cinematic art.
Driven by a purpose-led odyssey, Ehmer united his powerhouse ventures and partnerships, bringing together global knight leaders and multicultural teams from the advertising, marketing, media, and film communities across both the Western and Eastern hemispheres. His visionary collaboration established the world’s first independent ‘A Brand-First Marcom Network’ under one integrated umbrella to navigate the voyage of cultivating Ideal-Led Brands.
Under his inspired leadership and strategic direction, the global teams at A Brand-First Marcom Network have delivered a series of successful 360º integrated marketing and advertising campaigns. With over 20 years of advertising and branding experience, Laur Barbu is not only our co-founder and executive creative director but also the go-to expert for international campaigns. Starting his career as a copywriter, Laur quickly realized that branding and concept development offered a richer and more impactful creative experience. Over the years, he has ascended to senior roles as a creative copywriter, associate creative director, and creative director at renowned international advertising agencies.
Laur has been instrumental in developing successful branding and launch campaigns for global audiences, earning numerous prestigious advertising awards, including the Effie Awards and Cannes Lions, as a testament to his creativity and effectiveness. His work has significantly contributed to the success of campaigns for major brands such as Audi, Opel, SEAT, Chevrolet, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Dunhill, Davidoff, Rizla, PokerStars, Unilever, WWF, Real Madrid C.F., and F.C. Barcelona.
Chances are, if you’ve seen memorable campaigns for these brands, Laur was a key member of the creative team, driving the creative strategy and ideation as a creative director while working at top global agencies like Ogilvy & Mather, DDB, Scholz & Friends, and TBWA.
